SUMMER ADVENTURE CAMP COUNSELOR APPLICATION 2024

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2024 LifeMoves Summer Adventure Camp!

Summer Adventure Camp aims to engage children in grades Kinder-12th living at our family shelter sites in fun science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) activities. This year's camp runs from July 1st, 2024 through August 2nd, 2024.

Camp Counselor Eligibility Criteria:

Be a high school student between the ages of 14-18 that has at least completed their Freshman year
Demonstrate ability to work with children ages 5-14
Commit to a minimum of 2 full weeks of volunteering (consecutive weeks preferred but not required)
Volunteer Monday-Wednesday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 AM during your scheduled volunteer weeks
Attend an orientation session
Complete the full LifeMoves Volunteer application packet
Must be vaccinated

Camp Counselor Responsibilities include:

Assist in organizing and planning activities, crafts, and games during the program
Ensure the safety of children at all times
Maintain general order and consistency during the program
Work effectively with other counselors, volunteers, staff, and children
Report to Summer Camp Leads and Children’s Services Coordinators
Abide by and enforce camp rules and LifeMoves policies
Enforce, support, and adhere to Summer Camp rules and regulations and all COVID-19 protocols
